Ingredients

  • 12 Chicken Wings
  • 3 tsp Light Soy Sauce
  • 2 tsp Cornstarch/Potato Starch
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • 2 tsp Shaoxing Wine
  • 3 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Honey

Instructions

  • Soak the chicken wings for 15-30 minutes in lightly salted water to remove the residual off-flavours.
  • Pat dry the Chicken Wings. Marinate with the soy sauce, cornstarch, sugar, oyster sauce, shaoxing wine, and garlic. Massage the marinade into the meat until it is absorbed, about 2 minutes.

Stovetop

  • Preheat a pan to medium-low heat
  • Add the chicken wings, skin-side down, and fry, flipping occasionally, until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Add in 2 tablespoons of honey and quickly toss to coat the wings with honey.

Oven

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F
  • Roast the wings until they are cooked, around 15 minutes
  • Brush on the honey and roast for an additional 5 minutes or until it is carmelized and golden brown.
